Day trip and holidays announced by Deal coach operator Bayliss Executive Travel

A new member of staff has joined the team at Bayliss Executive Travel, marking the introduction of day trips and UK and European holidays.

With his 27 years’ experience in the travel industry, Paul Jeffries has already added new attractions and destinations to the coach operator’s programme since his appointment last week.

A day breaks and holiday brochure is being put together which includes “tried and tested” day trips to Windsor and shopping visits to Romford Market and Lakeside, plus many more exciting locations. There are some top theatre trips planned, too.

For those looking to holiday in the UK or Europe, there is a wide range of destinations, from the favourites of Devon to the highlands of Scotland and beyond.

“Holidaymakers start off as strangers and leave as friends. There’s a community on board – that’s what I like,” Paul Jeffries, commercial and marketing manager at Bayliss

Mr Jeffries said: “The benefits of going by coach outweigh travelling by plane or train. You get to see more of the splendid scenery, regular stops, no luggage limits or worrying about if you can take certain objects on board.

“Added with no airport delays, we take you direct to the front door of your hotel. Where possible, refreshments will be served on board, too.

“Not only do you get to see places like Torquay, the coach driver will take you to places of interest in the area too, as well as getting free time.”

He added: “Holidaymakers start off as strangers and leave as friends. There’s a community on board – that’s what I like.”

Managing director Alistair Bayliss, who runs the business from Deal Business Park, in Southwall Road, said: “It is going to be different to anything that anybody does around here, making it more personalised for the local people.”

There are local pick-ups in nearby towns too, including Sandwich, Dover, Margate, Ramsgate and Folkestone.

Mr Bayliss said one of the most popular trips is the Armistice Day excursion to the First World War battlefields in Ypres. Like in previous years, a coach will leave for Belgium, with passengers enriched by the expert knowledge of tour guide Trevor Booker, a member of the Guild of Battlefield Guides.

The Battlefields trip will take place on Wednesday, November 11, with local pick-up points across the Dover and Thanet districts.
