It meets every second Wednesday of the month at the Royal Marines Association on The Strand, Walmer ,from 10am to 12 noon and is free to attend.

The group has been developed by Dover District Council as part of the Civil Military Partnership Board.

The project has been helped by the Royal Marines Association Deal Branch, and funded by Forces Connect South East as part of the Armed Forces Covenant Fund.

Council chairman Mike Conolly said: "Dover district is steeped in military heritage, and is proud of its connections with the armed forces, with many veterans who live, work and enjoy life here.

"This important initiative will help veterans to come together and access the array of support services that are out there.”
