A road was partially blocked in both directions after a crash involving a motorcyclist and a car.

Police and ambulance crews attended the scene on The Strand in Walmer, Deal, which occurred between the Lifeboat Station and Canada Road.

Traffic was slow and motorists were advised to use alternative routes.

A spokesman said: "Kent Police received a report of a collision along The Strand in Deal at 9.30am on Wednesday, September 19.

"Officers attended the scene, where a car and motorbike had collided.

"The South East Coast Ambulance Service was also called, following a report of injuries – not believed to be serious.

"The road was closed to assist the emergency services and clear by 10.15am."
