Flooding has caused KCC Highways to close Allenby Avenue in Deal.

The road is closed today (Monday) between Park Avenue and Mill Road, due to flooding in the carriageway.

Motorists are advised to use an alternative route.

The severity of the flood is classed as medium and it is expected to be re-opened on Wednesday, August 26.

This comes as Kent has been placed under a yellow weather warning until 10pm tonight, with some persistent and heavy rainfall expected in places.
