The X-Factor's Shaz-Paz jailed after three year campaign of stalking against her psychotherapist

A woman who launched a three year campaign of stalking against her psychotherapist was once a contestant on X Factor.

Sharon Stewart – known on the talent show as Shaz Paz - made the life of her counseller and his family a misery.

Even as she was being led away to begin her three year jail sentence, she turned to family members sitting in the public gallery and said: “I told you I should have killed him.”

Stewart – who is a 46 year old married mum of two from Walmer – harassed her counseller from 2015 until July this year - even after warnings from police.

On the hit TV show filmed in Manchester she fluffed her lines and then began body popping before being kicked off. She later told the national press how she felt she had been "used" by the show and that footage of her disastrous audition had been edited to make her look bad.

She also appeared in the dock on ITV's Judge Rinder when complainant Debbie Pinfold claimed her friend Stewart had recommended her son repair Mrs Pinfold's computer, which he left in a state of disrepair.

But we can reveal the woman, who claimed on TV that she was "individual and unique," has a sinister side.

Canterbury Crown Court heard how she had made false allegations against him, set up fake Facebook accounts, sent messages, damaged his car and turned up at his home.

Her campaign led to the married expert being sacked from his post at Dover Counselling Centre and he was so frightened he installed CCTV cameras and contemplated moving home.

Prosecutor Imogen Nelson said: “This was a protracted and disturbing campaign of stalking, which including the messages, totalled more than 100 events over the three years.”

She said that Stewart, who cared for her older husband at their home in Dorset Gardens, had been counselled for just five months as a client until he ended them because of her “suggestive “ behaviour and invitations to socialise."

“He declined those advances but he then received a number of emails to his personal account, along with emails to his son and to his employers.”

Stewart made accusations against him which were investigated and no further action was taken against him.

“Food was thrown at his front door, bins emptied on his drive way, a hole was sliced in the soft top to his vehicle causing £500 worth of damage,” she added.

The victim began fearing for his safety as messages were sent to him including pictures of a crossbow and gun with the chilling words: “Which one will it be?”

Ms Nelson added she also sent him another: “Goodbye, good riddance and die slowly please!”

The victim, in a victim impact statement read to court: “I was dismissed from my job and I am currently unemployed.

“I was also investigated by police for five months before the case was dropped. This has caused me financial hardship, emotional stress, worry..I feel imprisoned in my home address.

“Any noise in the night wakes me because I fear she is here again. She has repeatedly threatened to kill me. I now worry and am completely on edge.

“It is a horrible way to live my life."

Stewart, who admitted the stalking offence, said she had a breakdown because of events in her earlier life.

The judge, Recorder Stuart Trimmer QC issued a banning order for her to keep away from her victim and his family in future.

He told her: “You carried on doing what you did even after the police had spoken to you about your behaviour.”
