Suspected break-in at Co-op, Beauchamp Avenue, Deal

Police are investigating a burglary at a Co-operative.

Glass on the door is smashed and police tape prevents customers entering the store in Beauchamp Avenue, Deal.

A spokesperson for Co-op said: “I can confirm that a burglary took place at our Beauchamp Avenue store early this morning (Wednesday, August 28). CCTV coverage has been shared with the police, who are investigating, and we would ask anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

“We work closely with police and crime prevention bodies, and implement a range of measures designed to deter and disrupt criminal behaviour.”

The store has been broken in to before.

Kent Police has been contacted for a comment.
