Non-league football club’s fines list for the season goes viral after being leaked on social media

A Kent non-league football club’s fines list has gone viral.

The list used this season by Deal Town, who play in Isthmian South East, has been leaked in the past few days and has proven to be a big hit on social media, being viewed by thousands.

“Someone’s getting a fine on Saturday,” the club posted on their X account last Thursday.

Among them is an “Alex Green fine” which is named after the 21-year-old Hoops defender.

With only those in Deal’s matchday squad being eligible to be fined or nominated, the heaviest one is a £50 fine - if any new signing refuses to do an initiation song.

Other fines include £20 for not attending a team social - or a player bringing a partner on a team social event - while the cheapest fines stand at £3.

They can be given out for poor taste in music, being used on the matchday programme, questionable haircuts, and items which are left in the changing room.

Another Kent non-league club made headlines as Bearsted keeper Frankie Leonard pulled off an astonishing save - while tangled up in the net - at the weekend.

Ninth-placed Deal are at Sittingbourne on Saturday.
