TOBY NORRIS: detectives are anxious to speak to him
TOBY NORRIS: detectives are anxious to speak to him

PEOPLE in Dover and cross-Channel ferry passengers are being asked if they recall seeing the boyfriend of a woman who was found murdered at her home in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, last Saturday.

A post mortem examination concluded the cause of death of Tina Moore, aged 30, was compression to the neck.

It is believed Toby Norris, aged 23, caught a P&O ferry in Dover at 4.45pm on Saturday - 15 minutes before Tina's body was discovered. He was driving a silver grey VW Golf hatchback, registration G125 XFH.

He has been described as a white male, five feet 10 inches tall with mid brown hair and blue eyes.

Senior Investigating Officer, DCI Jonathan Drake, said: "Whilst we are keeping an open mind, we are anxious to speak to Toby as soon as possible. We are keen to speak to anyone who travelled on the same ferry as Toby Norris.

"We would also appeal to anyone who has been to the Continent, or intends to do so, to let us know if they see Toby. The ferry went to France, but we must look at the possibility that Toby could have travelled to another country or that he may return to the UK."

Tina was a mother of an eight-year-old daughter and 10 year-old son. The children are currently staying with relatives.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the murder incident room on 01785 218620 or Crimetstoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
