Police are hunting for a man in Dover.
Firearms officers and the police helicopter have been called in to assist their efforts.
The force initially received reports of a woman being verbally threatened by a man she knew in Tower Hamlets Road at 6.53pm.
Police later clarified the woman had been assaulted.
A search of the area was carried out and inquiries to find the man are ongoing.
