A biker has been airlifted to London hospital with serious injuries after a crash.

Paramedics were called to the collision on Kennel Hill, Eythorne, near Dover, involving a motorcycle and a van this morning.

A helicopter also landed nearby and the road was closed while emergency services responded to the incident.

An ambulance service spokesman said: “We were called at about 7.45am today to reports of a road traffic collision involving a motorcycle and another vehicle on Kennel Hill, Eythorne.

“Ambulance crews attended and were joined at the scene by the air ambulance.

“The motorcyclist was assessed and treated before being airlifted to a London hospital with potentially serious injuries.”

A police spokesperson added: “Officers attended the scene on Kennel Hill in Eythorne, Dover.

“A man sustained serious injuries and was taken to a London hospital.

“The road was clear by about 10.30am.”

It is understood the man’s injuries are serious but not life-threatening.
