Burglary at Roman Painted House museum in New Street, Dover

Cash was stolen from a donation box during a burglary at a museum.

The Roman Painted House, in New Street, Dover, was targeted during late-night raid.

The front door was damaged and a quantity of cash was stolen from a donation pot.

A police spokesman said: "Two people were seen in the area at the time, who officers would like to identify as they may have information which could assist the investigation."

One of the suspects was described as a white man, 5ft 8ins tall with short blonde hair and wearing a tracksuit.

The other was a white woman, 5ft 7ins tall with long dark hair, and had a carrier bag.

The burglary happened between 9pm and 10.30pm last Friday.
