Police chase from Port of Dover to Folkestone results in dangerous driving charge

A man has been charged with dangerous driving after police were led on an eight-mile car chase from Dover to Folkestone.

Officers were originally alerted to a vehicle being erratically driven around the Port of Dover yesterday at about 8pm.

The driver refused to stop when tracked down by police and continued on towards Folkestone.

The car was stopped in Earls Avenue, Folkestone, and police say a quantity of class B drugs and drugs paraphernalia were seized.

Leonard Taylor, 20, of Meadvale Road, Croydon, was charged with dangerous driving and possession with intent to supply.

He has been remanded in custody and was due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court today.
