Police and ambulances seen at Winchelsea Street, Dover

A strong police presence was seen lining a street in Dover this afternoon.

Seven police cars joined two ambulances at Winchelsea Road at lunchtime while neighbours looked on.

A police spokesman said: "At around 12.14pm on Wednesday, April 8, officers along with the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended a private address in Winchelsea Street, Dover in connection with a medical incident."

An onlooker, who does not wish to be named, said one person was taken away in an ambulance.

A spokesman for South East Kent Ambulance Service said they would not be commenting because it was a call to a private address.
