More images released of Dover protesters as Sittingbourne man Craig Knott convicted of knife posession

A man caught with a knife at the protests in Dover earlier this year has been jailed.

Craig Knott, 35, of Crown Quay Lane, Sittingbourne, was spotted by officers "behaving erratically" in Folkestone Road.

After being told he was going to be searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act, Knott admitted he was carrying a lock knife.

He was arrested and appeared before Medway magistrates, where he pleaded guilty to possessing a bladed article in a public place.

They sentenced him to 60 days in prison for the offence, and a further 190 days for a number of unrelated charges.

Knott is the first person arrested in connection with the Dover demonstrations to have been sentenced in court.

At least 30 people have now been arrested following the violent confrontation between rival political factions.

Now policehave released images of a further 14 people who may be able to assist them.

Detectives say they are still reviewing CCTV and social media footage of reported offences and would like to hear from anyone who recognises those pictured.
