She is now setting up a crowdfunding appeal for the public to help pay for her wedding with Tom Wilson, 48, her partner of 10 years.

She would also like to receive a personal video message from The Walking Dead actor Norman Reedus and hopes someone has the contacts to reach him.

She said on her GoFundMe page: "Please, if you can, help me with my dream of a lovely wedding and honeymoon before I die.

"It would be the best thing I could wish for at the moment, a chance to celebrate with my wonderful family.

"We can all get together and be happy and celebrate the good times instead of dwelling on what is inevitably going to happen sooner or later."

Miss Stone has an incurable Stage 4 cancer called leiomyosarcoma, which started in the abdomen and has now spread to the liver.

This is a soft tissue condition that can develop in muscle, fat, blood vessels or any other tissues that support, surround and protect the organs of the body.

The couple had been trying to save for their big day but she became ill in early 2018.

After GP appointments it was first thought to be constipation and wind.

It culminated that October when she was rushed to hospital in severe pain.

A scan revealed a 6in by 6in mass in her bowel area and eventually a biopsy showed that she had incurable cancer.

The plan was to remove the tumour at the specialist Royal Marsden Hospital in London. But, a second scan revealed this would not be possible.

The cancer was discovered to be Stage 4, which means it had spread to another organ, in this case the liver.

At first she was told she had one to five years to live. But she met her oncologist at the Marsden for an update on September 26 and was told she had one year left.

Miss Stones, of Tower Hamlets, explained: "My wonderful partner has had to give up work to care for me as I am severely limited in many day to day activities and energy levels are small so I sleep a lot and rely on him for everything."

The couple had met when the worked together at the packaging manufacturers the London Fancy Box Company in Poulton Close, St Radigund's. They want to get married as soon as possible at a local register office.

Miss Stones has one 29-year-old son in Dover and twin grandaughters, aged four.

She has parents in Scotland and other relatives in various parts of the UK.

Miss Stones had already been in bad health over the last 13 years with conditions including hiatus hernia and thrombophillia, a condition that increases the risk of blood clots.

Miss Stones' appeal by today raised £190 but £5,000 is needed.
