Detectives are hunting for witnesses after a woman was charged with attempted murder after allegedly attacking a walker with a kitchen knife in a busy street.
Security staff at a nearby pub intervened to restrain the suspect during the alleged serious assault in Biggin Street, Dover, which left the victim with back injuries.
The woman in her 50s was taken to hospital after the incident at about 10.10pm on Friday, January 17– but has since been discharged.
Natasza Zakrzewska, of Salisbury Road, Dover, was charged with attempted murder and threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place.
The 47-year-old was remanded in custody ahead of her next court appearance later this year.
“A police investigation into the incident remains ongoing,” a force spokesman said.
“CCTV inquiries and witness interviews have suggested there are at least three further witnesses to the incident who officers have yet to speak to.
“Police would like to speak to a man who may have been in or outside The Eight Bells public house and two women who were also in the area at around the time of the assault.”
