He is charged with making indecent images of children in Dover.

Ratcliffe is alleged to have made an indecent moving image of a child using a mobile phone on February 2, 2017, at Category A level, the most serious type.

A second charge is of making an indecent photograph of a child on April 19, 2017.

Ratcliffe is also accused of making five indecent photographs of children on May 15, 2016.

The alleged images for these two charges were Category C, the least serious of the three grades. Again they were said to have been made from a mobile phone.

Ratcliffe pleaded not guilty to all three charges at yesterday's hearing.

Magistrates sent the case for trial at Canterbury Crown Court, due to take place on January 6.

Ratcliffe, of Dane Road, Birchington, was remanded on unconditional bail.

Kent Online understands he was a technician at Duke of York's Royal Military School in Dover until April 2017.

It is also understood the charges don't relate to any past or present pupil at the school.
