Motorists faced delays today at the Port of Dover amid French IT issues.

An hour-long wait was reported for those crossing the channel from Kent this morning due to the failure at French Border Control.

Speaking at the time, spokesperson for the port, said: “Tourist traffic is experiencing delays of up to one hour due to IT issues at French border control.

“The Port of Dover is working with our French colleagues to process all passengers as quickly as possible.”

But at 11am they stated the issue had been resolved.

“We are pleased that the French border systems are now back to normal, with a ten-minute processing time.

“Thank you for your patience as we worked with our partners to keep traffic moving this morning.”
