Man in 50s mugged, assaulted and robbed of his wallet in Bench Street underpass, Dover

Police are hunting two muggers after a man was robbed and assaulted in a subway.

They stole his wallet containing cash and cards during the attack in Dover.

It happened at the Bench Street pedestrian underpass at around 8pm last Sunday.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "The victim, in his 50s, was threatened and then assaulted before the suspects left with his personal belongings, including cash, cards and vehicle documents.

"The suspects were both described as having short dark hair, being around 5ft 7ins tall and wearing dark jackets.

"A number of enquiries have been carried out including the review of CCTV opportunities."

Detectives investigating want to hear from anyone who witnessed the robbery or has information that could help find the culprits.
