Man remanded after £3.7m drug discovery

A GERMAN man has been remanded in custody after a cocktail of drugs said to be worth £3.7m was found in a lorry at Dover's Eastern Docks.

Adalbert Sadowski, 34, from Hamburg, appeared before Channel magistrates at Dover and was remanded until April 8.

Customs officers allegedly discovered 30 kilos of heroin, 10 kilos of cocaine and 500 kilos of cannabis in the vehicle, which was carrying a load of fat and lard for use in the confectionery industry.
