Police hunt suspect with Liverpudlian accent after failed knife-point robbery in Dover

A knifeman walked away empty-handed when a brave victim stood up to him.

The would-be robber, with a utility knife, demanded money from a man in a park.

When the victim refused, the knifeman left the scene.

The incident happened at Pencester Gardens, Dover, between 2.10pm and 2.20pm last Sunday.

A police spokesman said: "A man reported he was with friends in the skate park when he was approached by another man carrying a utility knife who demanded money.

"When the victim refused, the suspect left the area towards Stembrook."

The suspect is a white man aged 20 to 25 years old and around 5ft 8ins tall.

He reportedly spoke in a Liverpudlian accent and had dark hair and a short beard.

He was wearing a beanie-style hat, a dark blue or black tracksuit, carried a yellow and black North Face bag, and wore blue Nike Air Max trainers.
