A car overturned in a crash on a busy route.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the A20 in Dover this afternoon, near the junction with A256 Woolcomber Street.

The collision happened near the Travelodge, and the road was blocked between the A20 Townwall Street and St James Street while emergency services dealt with the incident.

One ambulance was called to the scene alongside police, and the driver was checked over at the scene but did not require hospital treatment.

Traffic was heavy in the area until just before 4pm, when the scene was cleared.
