A major route was closed this morning (Saturday) after a car and lorry smash.

The car ended up in its roof after the collision inside the Round Hill Tunnel on the A20 at Folkestone.

Kent Police were called at 8.50am to the incident, which was on the Dover-bound carriageway.

A spokesman said: " The car overturned following the collision and the M20 was closed at Junction 13 in order for the vehicle to be recovered.

"No serious injuries have been reported."

The tunnel route had to be closed during vehicle recovery.

Highways England reported that by noon it was fully reopened and all traffic kept waiting was free to move again.
