Serious crash closes B2011 Folkestone Road in Dover

A road has been shut following a serious crash.

Emergency services are at the scene between Dover and Folkestone following the collision this morning.

Police, ambulance and fire services were called to the B2011 Folkestone Road

Officers have shut the road between the A20 and Eaton Road, and it is understood the closure is likely to remain in place for some time.

Eyewitnesses have reported seeing the air ambulance land close to the crash, which is understood to have involved two vehicles.

A police spokeswoman said: " Kent Police, along with SECAMB and Kent Fire and Rescue Service are currently at the scene of a serious collision in Folkestone Road, Dover.

"Officers were called at 5.10am following reports of a collision involving two vehicles.

"The road is currently closed, drivers are advised to find alternative routes."

A spokesperson for Kent County Council Highways said: "The B2011 has been closed between Eaton Road and the A20 following a serious RTC.

"Emergency services are in attendance and road is likely to remain closed for some time whilst investigation works are ongoing.

"Please use alternate route and expect delays in the area."

Fire and ambulance services have been contacted for comment.
