Coach driver with 52 passengers used mobile phone in Limekiln Street, Dover

A coach driver used their mobile phone at the wheel while carrying 52 passenger.

But they were stopped by police and made to pay a penalty.

The driver was pulled over on the A20 Limekiln Street, Dover, at around 9am today.

A tweet from Kent Police RPU (Roads Policing Unit) said: "Carrying 52 passengers but still happy to use a mobile phone at the wheel. Shocking as a professional driver. Dealt with at the roadside."

Officers gave the driver a fixed penalty notice.

The coach has the livery of Arsac Tourisme, a us tour agency based in Lavilledieu in southern France.

Kent Online is making attempts to contact the company for a comment.
