Street attack victim named

A MAN who suffered severe head injuries in an attack in Biggin Street, Dover, last week has been identified as 19-year-old Daniel Stratford, of Beatty Road, Folkestone.

Mr Stratford was attacked in the early hours of Sunday August 10. He was found in Biggin Street but forensic experts also gathered evidence from York Street.

His condition is still said to be critical but stable, and police have not yet been able to speak to him about what happened.

When he was found he had injuries to his face, head and neck, was unconscious and turning blue. Paramedics gave him oxygen to revive him, and he regained consciousness two days later.

Police still want to hear from any witnesses to the attack or from anyone who has any information about what happened. They can be contacted on Dover (01304) 240055.
