Six suspected illegal immigrants have been found in a lorry in Dover.

Police were called to Jubilee Way at 9am following the discovery.

Officers attended and the six people found were handed over to the Home Office immigration enforcement facility in Dover.

An eye witness said he saw the incident unfold in a lay-by on the A2 between the Duke of York's roundabout and McDonalds at Whifiteld.

He says he saw a number of people being pulled from the back of a white unmarked lorry.

He said: "We only realised what was going on once we'd passed by."
