A man's body has been found following a search for a missing person in St Margaret's Bay.

Police were called to the area near Dover around 5pm.

HM Coastguard was also involved in the search.

A spokesman said: "A man from Folkestone was pronounced deceased at the scene and his next of kin have been informed.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner."
