A thug jailed for beating up his mum and ex-girlfriend and who goaded police while he was on the run has been back in court.

Jordan Lamoon returned to the dock following his subsequent return to prison to serve the rest of his sentence after breaching the terms of his earlier release.

Officers launched a most-wanted appeal in January in a bid to trace him after breaching the terms of his licence following his assault conviction and jail sentence last September.

But the Dover man had the audacity to post online about the appeal.

He teased officers with a kiss-blowing emoji in a comment under the force’s post: “Kent Police see you Monday.”

However, he was released on licence again over the 24-week prison sentence he received for the assaults on his mother and ex-partner.

But on March 15, the 25-year-old was caught behind the wheel of a Volkswagen Golf in Canterbury Road, Folkestone.

Lamoon, of Bindon Blood Road, Dover, was charged with driving while disqualified and without insurance.

He admitted the offences when he appeared remotely from prison at Margate Magistrates’ Court on October 21, after being sent back for breaching the terms of his licence by committing the new offence.

Terry Knox, prosecuting, said: “He was driving in Canterbury Road and he sees the police officer who speaks to him and he comes to a natural stop.

“There was no poor driving; the officer was acting on information as he’d been seen driving earlier that day.

“He made admissions at the roadside.”

The court heard Lamoon lost his licence as a totter after receiving points.

A totting-up ban is a driving disqualification imposed on motorists who accumulate 12 or more penalty points on their licence within a three-year period.

James Langridge, defending, said his client made admissions when he was arrested and that he’d entered an early guilty plea.

He added: “He was released in March, but he was doing maths and English courses before his release. He wants me to apologise on his behalf.

“His ban has now ended. It was a six-month ban as a totter, and he can’t recall why he was driving that day.”

Magistrates fined Lamoon £120 for the driving while disqualified offence and placed another six points on his licence.

He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £96 and £85 court costs, but will not have to pay the fine or costs as magistrates deemed it paid as time served.

Lamoon recieved no separate penalty for the no insurance offence, but his licence was endorsed.
