Two arrests after man dies in crash in Frith Road in Dover

A man has died after a collision in Dover.

Two people have been arrested after the incident in Frith Road at about 5.40pm yesterday.

It involved a red Peugeot 207 and a man believed to be in his 40s.

The man was treated by the paramedics for serious injuries but later died at the scene.

A 31-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman, both from the Dover area, have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remain in custody as enquiries continue.

A vehicle believed to be involved in the collision was found abandoned in Astley Avenue near the allotments.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who saw the car or the pedestrian in the moments leading up to the collision or afterwards, or who have dash cam footage from the area that was recorded around the time of the incident.
