Both are at the St James' Retail and Leisure Park in Dover, just a few hundred yards apart.

Taco Bell has been serving tacos, burritos, nachos and quesadillas in the UK since 2010 and this is the first to open in Dover.

But it is the third to open in Kent, the other two being in Medway and Maidstone. Another is set to open in Folkestone.

German Doner Kebab is at Unit 2a of the complex.

The brand, founded in Berlin in 1989, now has more than 100 restaurants in the UK including in Bromley High Street, St George's Street in Canterbury, Week Street in Maidstone and Grosvenor Road, Tunbridge Wells.

Customers can dine in, take away click and collect and eventually a delivery service will be provided.

The two new outlets will join Nando's, Burger King and Kaspas at the shopping centre, which is also home to businesses such as Cineworld, an M&S Food Hall and Greggs.
