Two women from Ramsgate arrested as baby injured in Dover

A baby boy, less than a year old, was admitted to hospital after suffering injuries and two women have been arrested.

The incident happened in Dover High Street on Sunday at around 6pm and the baby was admitted to a local hospital.

Two women from Ramsgate were taken into police custody but have since been released pending further enquiries.

A police spokesman said: "Police are investigating after a baby in Dover was admitted to a local hospital at around 6pm on Sunday, April 15.

"Officers are conducting enquiries to establish how the injuries, not believed to be serious, were sustained.

"Two women from Ramsgate, aged 37 and 40, have been arrested as part of the investigation."
