Urgent repairs on a train track have caused major disruption this evening.
The track in Minster needed to be fixed after it was found to have a broken rail, meaning trains running on several routes have been delayed.
Trains travelling from Dover Priory to Ramsgate and from Canterbury West to Ramsgate were affected by the issue and some lines couldn't run.
Services from Sandwich going to Ramsgate as well as those travelling from Minster to Ramsgate couldn't go ahead either.
At around 7.20pm Southeastern Railway confirmed that the urgent repairs to the track at Minster had been completed and the lines had reopened.
Trains can now run between Minster and Ramsgate and from Sandwich to Ramsgate.
However, delays are still expected to last until at least 9.30pm.
Following this disruption services at St Pancras had also been severely disrupted and crowd control was in place.
The train company has also tweeted that Network Rail teams are on site repairing the train line with an expected completion time of 5.30pm. Disruption is expected to last until 7pm with closed lines expected to reopen after 5.30pm.
There are also no trains running via Canterbury East, due to planned engineering works
