Video shows boat carrying 11 migrants arriving in Dover after being intercepted off Ramsgate coast

A small boat carrying 11 migrants was intercepted off the Kent coast today as the number of people brought to shore from the English Channel since November passed 400.

A Border Force vessel was videoed bringing the group to shore at Dover at about 10am.

The Home Office confirmed the group were found off the coast near Ramsgate at about 7.30am and have been transferred to immgration officials for interview.

It comes after two small boats containing 18 migrants, including children, were intercepted off the coast of Folkestone on Thursday.

An abandoned dinghy was found at Langdon Bay in Dover yesterday in what is thought to have been another migrant incident.

There have been a net 47 cases, involving a at least 411 people, since November 8 last year.

Incidents have occurred at Dover, Deal, Kingsdown, Folkestone and Romney Marsh.
