Woman hit by car in London Road, Dover

A woman is fighting for her life in hospital after being hit by a car in Dover.

The victim, aged in her 30s, suffered a serious head injury when she was knocked down by a silver Toyota Avensis in London Road, near the junction with Coombe Valley Road, at around 2.40pm yesterday.

She was flown to a London hospital, where she remains in a critical condition.

Officers from the serious collision investigation unit now want to hear from anyone who saw what happened.
