Police need witnesses after a woman was hurt in a town centre collision with a van.

It happened at 10am today in Castle Street, Dover, near its junction with Church Street.

The woman was taken to a local hospital.

The vehicle involved was a Mercedes Sprinter box van.

A police spokesman said: "Officers would like to thank those who have come forward already.

"They ask that anyone who saw the collision or was in the area at the time and has not yet spoken to an officer to call Kent Police."
