Woman in wheelchair and man hurt in collision with car, Townwall Street, Dover

A woman in a wheelchair and a man have been hurt in a road accident.

They had been hurt in a collision with a car at Townwall Street, Dover, last night.

The woman suffered a head injury in the incident.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "Police were called to Townwall Street at 10pm.

"It is reported the incident involved a man pushing a woman in a wheelchair and a car.

"South East Coast Ambulance Service was called to the scene to treat them.

"The woman is reported to have suffered an injury to her head. The man is said to have a leg injury."

The accident was close to the junction with Woolcomber Street and police say that the woman was taken to a local hospital.
