The case was confirmed on Thursday, November 5, meaning the year group will be isolating until Thursday November 19.

A school spokesperson said: "Following an isolated case of Covid-19 in our Year 9 bubble, we have sent that yeargroup home to self isolate in accordance with government regulations.

"We know that parents may find this concerning but are continuing to monitor the situation and the school remains open and working closely with Public Health England.

"The safety of students and staff is our primary concern; we of course wish all our students well and look forward to having them back on the 19th of November.”
