Bromley 1 Dover Athletic 1 Vanarama National League match report

Honours finished even in the Vanarama National League Kent derby after Bromley scored a late goal to earn a 1-1 draw against Dover at Hayes Lane on Saturday.

Nicky Deverdics put Whites ahead in the 70th minute before Bradley Goldberg's goal two minutes from time put the home side back on level terms.

Dover goalkeeper Mitch Walker saved Goldberg's initial penalty before he fired in the rebound.

The point extended Whites unbeaten run to five but they drop two places to 12th.

Bromley had the first chance of the match in the seventh minute when Goldberg headed wide.

Deverdics almost opened the scoring for Whites in the 19th minute when his shot beat goalkeeper Alan Julian before hitting the bar.

Dover goalkeeper Walker made his first save of the match in the 22nd minute, easily saving Goldberg's shot from 18-yards.

Moments later, the lively Goldberg drilled an effort across the goal which went just wide.

Walker dived low to push away Anthony Cook's long-range on the half-hour mark as the hosts enjoyed a spell of pressure.

A Reece Prestedge free-kick flew over the Dover wall and Walker's goal eight minutes before half-time.

Liam Bellamy had the last chance of the half, heading Deverdics' cross well wide from eight yards.

Former Dover player Moses Emmanuel (Ademola) had a shot easily saved by Walker three minutes after the break following an surging run into the box.

Cook missed a chance to test Walker after firing wide before Dover went on the attack.

Stefan Payne forced Julian into making a stunning save with a fierce drive from just inside the box following a one-two with Ricky Miller.

It was Payne who again who had the next chance, smashing his shot well over from 18-yards.

Dover took the lead in the 70th minute when Deverdics turned home following a smart turn and pass by Miller.

Deverdics went close to doubling the lead minutes later, seeing his drive fly just past the post.

The three points looked to be heading back to Dover before Tyrone Sterling tangled with Cook two minutes from time.

Walker produced a stunning save to keep the first effort out before Goldberg scored from the rebound.
