Dover Athletic's game against Weymouth is postponed because of Covid with players and staff isolating

Dover Athletic have had their 10th game called off because of Covid-19.

The club’s players and staff are self isolating again and that’s led to them postponing their home match against Weymouth on Saturday.

The weekend's game against Dagenham (January 2) had been called off because of a “Covid-19 investigation.”

Whites sit bottom of the National League but have barely got their season started, playing just 10 games, while some of their league rivals have managed 17.

Their next scheduled match is against Boreham Wood at Crabble on Tuesday, January 12.

A club statement said: “Our Vanarama National League fixture against Weymouth at Crabble on Saturday has been postponed due to our staff and players self-isolating in accordance with National League protocols and Public Health England guidelines.”

Elite football can continue during the new lockdown but Dover are going to be facing a congested fixture list, which already stretches to the end of May.
