Central defender Sean Francis has left Dover and signed for Vanarama National League rivals, promoted Bromley.

Francis, who joined Whites on a one-year deal from Bishop’s Stortford last summer, had been offered a contract to stay at Crabble but opted to join the Vanarama Conference South champions.

He will join former Dover players Adam Birchall and Moses Ademola at The Fortress Stadium.

In an injury-hit season, Francis made 21 league and two FA Cup appearances for boss Chris Kinnear's side, scoring three goals.

He also captained the side twice when Connor Essam was suspended.

Whites, who finished eighth this season, are still waiting to hear if Essam, midfielders Liam Bellamy and Nicky Deverdics and striker James Poole will take up their contract offers.
