Ricky Modeste leaves Dover Athletic

Ricky Modeste has left Dover Athletic after rejecting a new deal.

Modeste was one of nine players offered new terms to stay with Whites but he's followed striker Ross Lafayette out of the exit door.

Lafayette has signed for Sutton and Modeste posted a short message on Twitter to confirm that he, too, was on his way out.

Modeste arrived from Chelmsford in 2012 and spent five seasons with Dover.

He helped them win the Conference South play-offs in 2013/14 and was then part of the Whites side which reached the National League play-offs last season.

Goalkeeper Mitch Walker has agreed a new one-year deal at Dover while the club have offered terms to Sam Magri, Richard Orlu, Tyrone Sterling, Jamie Grimes, Aswad Thomas and Bondz N'Gala.
