Walker: Players must focus on league

FIRM MESSAGE: Clive Walker

DOVER Athletic manager Clive Walker has delivered a clear message to his players ahead of Saturday's league encounter at Ilkeston.

He told them: "Forget about Oxford United and the FA Cup - we need to get something from Ilkeston first."

Although Whites' cup run has brought a buzz of excitement to the town, Walker doesn't want it to have a negative impact on their league campaign.

In the wake of last weekend's 3-0 home defeat by Tamworth, this weekend's trip to bottom-of-the-table Ilkeston presents Dover with an opportunity to get their promotion push quickly back on track.

Andy Arnott, Nicky Dent, Steve Norman and Tommy Tyne are all having tests on various injuries at training late this week while Walker knows that he will could be without Nicky Humphrey for the rest of the season after the central defender broke his ankle against Tamworth.
