Dover have completed the summer signing of a striker.
Decarrey Sheriff, 27, arrives ahead of Whites’ National League South return for the 2025/26 campaign after a season at Isthmian Premier Billericay, in which he scored 10 goals in nearly 50 appearances.
He started for Gary McCann’s men in their 2-1 extra-time Isthmian Premier play-off semi-final defeat against Dover in late April, coming off in extra-time, before Jake Leberl’s troops saw off Dartford to secure Isthmian Premier promotion.
But Whites confirmed they have got Sheriff’s signature on Friday.
“We’re pleased to welcome Decarrey Sheriff - a player we’ve been tracking for a while and someone who was a target for us this time last season,” said Leberl.
“He’s a forward who can play across the front line, beat defenders and has real potential that I don’t think has been fully realised yet.
“He needs a club where he feels at home, where he’s respected and loved, much like others we’ve worked with and helped develop. I’m really looking forward to working with him.
“He’s got exciting attributes, great celebrations and, hopefully, we can help unlock his full potential.”
Sheriff said: “I’ve always been fond of Dover Athletic.
“I’ve had some good words with the gaffer (Leberl) for quite some time.
“Their style of play when I’ve played against them, when I had my stint at Eastbourne and my stint at Billericay, has always been tough to play against.
“Because I’m an attacking player, I especially love the way the front three rotate and move around.
“I’ve just thought ‘You know what? It’s something I would be interested in being involved in one day.’”
Having started his career at Colchester, he gained first-team experience through loan spells at Maldon & Tiptree, Dulwich Hamlet and Needham Market.
He signed for Concord Rangers after being released in 2019 and scored nine goals in 26 appearances.
A move to Kettering Town followed where Sheriff played 83 times over three seasons before his switch to Eastbourne.
He spent the 2023/24 season there, netting seven goals in 42 league appearances, ahead of his move to Billericay last June.
The news comes after Dover unveiled their new VX3 home and away kits for the 2025/26 season earlier on the same day.
Sheriff is Whites' second summer signing after midfielder Ryan Hanson made his loan switch a permanent one.
