Crash in Throwley Road, Ospringe, near Faversham

A driver was been airlifted to a London hospital following a crash on a country road near Faversham.

Police, firefighters, paramedics and the air ambulance were called to a two-vehicle smash on Throwley Road, Ospringe, at about 4pm.

A witness said the crash looked serious.

Two men in one car and a woman in the other car were treated for injuries, a police spokesman has confirmed.

The two drivers were taken to a London hospital, one by air and one by road, while a passenger was taken to a local hospital.

Police warned the road will be closed while the vehicles are recovered and drivers are advised to seek alternative routes.
