Faversham man arrested after pay and display machine smashed

A man from Faversham has been arrested after allegedly smashing a pay-and-display machine in a car park while carrying drugs.

The 31-year-old was arrested on Preston Street at about 1am today following reports three men were damaging the unit.

Following a search, police found wraps of what is believed to be cocaine and cannabis inside a bag belonging to the suspect.

He remains in police custody on suspicion of criminal damage and intent to supply cocaine and cannabis.

Police enquiries are ongoing.
