Co-op worker in Forbes Road, Faversham, taken to hospital after ‘shoplifting teens hit him with pack of beer’

A convenience store worker was taken to hospital after reportedly being injured by two teenagers who were allegedly stealing from the shop.

The Co-op employee is said to have been struck with a pack of beer after he sought to intervene during a theft at the branch in Forbes Road, Faversham.

Police have identified the two suspects as teenage boys, with the incident happening on Monday at about 4pm.

The pair fled the scene and the victim later attended hospital for treatment to cuts on his head.

Officers have spoken to the victim and an investigation is underway, including the examination of relevant CCTV footage.
