Drivers travelling along the M2 were faced with delays after a car veered off the road and flipped onto its side.

Traffic was held along the motorway stretch near Faversham after the vehicle overturned in the coast-bound lane just before the A251 turn-off at about 2.20pm.

Photos from the scene show the dark-coloured four-wheeler lying on its side next to the carriageway.

A police spokesman said: "No serious injuries were reported.

"However, the incident did cause an obstruction in the road, which was fully clear by around 3.40pm."
