Residents were stunned to be woken by the noise of a crash which wrote off six cars.
The accident happened in Cambridge Road, Faversham, at about 12.30am on Thursday morning.
The driver of a Volkswagen Taigo collided with a stationary car, which then flipped his car over.
It damaged other parked vehicles on both sides of the street before coming to rest.
One of the residents said: “It’s a testimony to modern technology that the driver was able to exit his vehicle alive.”
There is a 20mph limit in the road. With parked cars on both sides, the carriageway was reduced to a single, central lane.
The owner of one of the damaged cars said: “This is the second time this has happened - there was a very similar incident in 2018.
“We now have a 20mph limit, but that doesn’t seem to be enough.
“People still drive outrageously fast - especially at night when they think there’s no-one about.”
Kent Police said: “We were called at 12.40am on Thursday to a report of a collision involving a car and six parked cars in Cambridge Road, Faversham.
“Officers attended to assist with vehicle recovery and clearing the road.
“Paramedics also attended and a man was taken to hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening.”
To date, nobody has been charged in connection with the crash.
Residents say the crash mimicked one from seven years ago on the same road.s
