LEARN MOREFirefighters have tackled a fire which broke out in a ground-floor flat.
Three fire engines and paramedics were called to Barnes Close, Faversham, shortly after 6pm yesterday.
Crews arrived to find smoke coming from the kitchen.
Wearing breathing apparatus, they used jets of water to extinguish the blaze, which was out by about 7.40pm.
One person was passed into the care of ambulance crews for precautionary checks.
The cause of the fire has not yet been established.
